As part of being in a Catholic School, there are millions of things we do everyday to help live out the Catholic Social Teachings. Not only do we recycle paper at St. Johns, we also recycle cellphones and ink cartridges. Be sure to remember, that's only as a school. At home we all participate in helping out Mother Earth. This includes; watering the grass and plants, pick up polluted areas, change our lightbulbs, walk instead of burning gasoline, and even saying no to plastic bags. There are over a thousand ways to help, and if we could just get one person everyday to decide they are ready to change and help, we could help our economy big time. It isn't hard if you think about it, honestly think about this: If I were to turn off a light everytime I left a room, how much energy could I save? Take some time to think about all these different things and see if you will be the next person to stand up for our planet and take a pledge to change the way you help our Earth.
